4 Days To Go...
Busy Busy Busy Day. Had to finish up sorting and posting the last of the VIP laminates today. We also sent out the remaining t-shirt orders from the online store before we have to close up shop temporarily for the tour.
In addition to posting things today, we also had to start packing merch to prepare it to go on the bus. We’re taking along some items that we aren’t sure we will sell but want to have them just in case. There are also a few exclusives for the bus, as I mentioned before, and some promo items to give out to people in the queue at each show. I also had to pack a box of Sharpie markers so James is ready to sign stuff! Someone asked if he would sign Busted and Son Of Dork CDs on the bus. I am sure he will, but I know that when it comes to conversation he would prefer to talk about his Future Boy songs and project instead of focusing on the past. He is, after all, called Future Boy now ;)
I love that the “Battery” energy drink has created such a stir and a bit of excitement! Some fans asked if they would be able to buy it. The answer to that is “No.” The energy drink will be a completely free and super rare promo item that will be given out on the Future Boy bus while supplies last. Don’t worry, we won’t allow anyone to be greedy. It will be only 1 per person, kinda like Wonka’s Everlasting Gobstopper. It’s up to you if you want to drink it (it tastes like Red Bull), or save it forever, or even be a great friend and give it to someone who can’t go get one. It’s such a cool can and I have a feeling you’ll want to save it.
We’ve been watching the “You can Dance” video competition entries in between tour prep activities and showing all of them to James. He is really impressed with the fans that have gone to the effort to submit an entry and said he wants to put as many of them in the final video as possible. We’ll be going through entries on the tour bus too, so please keep sending them in and getting your friends to enter as well. Rumour has it that some of James’ famous friends will be contributing entries as well so you may find your clip sandwiched between some well-known faces in the final video!
Can’t believe it is only 4 days until the tour begins! James flies in tomorrow (back from Nashville) and so does Timmy Wright (the drummer). The bass player for the first part of the tour, Riccardo Scirè, flies in tomorrow evening. With the boys all together, at last, we can hopefully get some rehearsal time in. I’ll see if I can sneak some pictures or video of that for you guys if it happens. Have a good night!
