Day 1 - Oxford - O2 Academy
The bus made it to Oxford in good time and was able to pull up and park right in front of the venue, the O2 Academy. Even though it was early, there were already some fans outside the venue waiting for the show. After checking in with the venue to let them know we had arrived and verifying the Future Boy sound check time, James jumped out of the bus to have a quick chat with a few of the waiting fans before the gear could be loaded into the venue.
The Future Boy slot for sound check quickly came around and it was time to go in and get set up. James had an opportunity to meet some more fans while equipment was being set up as some fans were in the venue for the Twenty Twenty VIP experience. After set-up, Future Boy did a sound check and all seemed to go smoothly. Excitement was beginning to build for the first show of the tour!

After the sound check, James and the boys and the Team Future Boy crew headed back to the bus to get changed and prepared for the show. The venue doors opened, the fans poured in and gathered in the front eagerly awaiting the performances.

City Stereo opened first (www.myspace.com/citystereo) with a great set. They were followed by Octane OK (www.myspace.com/OctaneOK) who also got off to a great start on this tour! Then, before we all knew it, it was show time for Future Boy!

James got as close to the fans as possible by coming all the way to the front of the stage to sing to them.

It was a good show. There were a few little snags here and there, but the audience seemed to not notice little technical glitches and were loving it anyway. It was an excellent first show! James, Timmy and Ricky all said they had a great time too!
After Future Boy was finished with the set, Twenty Twenty took the stage and rocked the house. It was a great night in Oxford for everyone on the Fanttastic Tour!
After the show was all over, James met with some fans outside the venue before meeting with a few of his own VIPs on the bus before it was time to leave and begin the journey to Stoke-On-Trent.
